Patek Philippe CALIBRE BETA for sale in Thousand Oaks, California

Here is a great big and interesting vintage Patek Philippe watch from 1970-72. Bearing the reference 3597/2, this watch was a Beta quartz watch - which Patek was beginning to explore, thanks to the legendary "Quartz Crisis" of the 1970s and 80s, which almost dealt a fatal blow to the great Swiss manufactures.
The 18k case is all original with dimensions of 42mm long by 43mm wide by 13mm thick. This is such a funky 1970s style, but it's a Patek Philippe! It's really great. The bracelet is original and completely unique. The integrated bracelet will fit up to an 8.5 inch wrist (i.e.: very large). This case could be described as an oval or a cushion case.
The dial is blue with date window at 3 o'clock and with applied hour markers and early, original luminous hands.
The movement is the Patek Philippe "Calibre Beta 21" which is quartz, but is known colloquially as the "Electric". Interestingly, the natural oscillation rate of the quartz crystal is 8192 Hz, which Patek reduces to 256 Hz by means of a proprietary frequency reducer.
This watch very, very rarely appears on the market. It's a big and fun watch, which is also an important and historical Patek Philippe.
Watch was recently fully serviced and is mint.
